A proper morning mug — 350 ml, so a full pour of coffee or a large tea fits without a top-up. The wall is thick, which is the whole point: it holds the heat in and the outside stays comfortable to hold a good while longer than a thin cup manages.
Sage matte glaze over vitrified stoneware, high-fired in oxidation to 1260°C, with a handle sized for two fingers and a bare clay foot ring underneath. It sits in the range with the plates and bowls.
All that thermal mass cuts both ways — pour into a cold mug and the first minute of your coffee goes into warming the walls. Warm it with a splash of hot water first if that bothers you.
