Sage matte glaze over vitrified stoneware, high-fired in oxidation, bare clay underfoot. Heavy enough to hold steady under a hand whisk, and it doubles as a jug for a warm sauce or custard at the table.
The spout pours a batter or a thin mix cleanly, but a stiff, sticky dough will cling to it rather than release. For anything thick, spoon it out — the spout earns its keep on pourable mixtures.
