The little dish that does a dozen small jobs: a pool of oil, a mound of flaky salt, olives and their stones, a dab of mustard, the teabag you've nowhere else to put. Cooks tend to end up with a short stack of them within reach of the stove.
Same sage stoneware and matte glaze as the rest of the table, high-fired in oxidation to a vitrified, non-porous body, bare clay underfoot. It reads as a scaled-down member of the range rather than an afterthought.
It's genuinely small — 11 cm across and shallow — so treat it as a pinch-and-dip dish, not a ramekin. A proper individual portion wants the ramekins in the bakeware range.
