Sized for a 900 g loaf — a banana bread, a tin loaf, a meatloaf, a chilled terrine or pâté set in the fridge overnight. The straight sides give a loaf clean edges, and the even stoneware heat bakes the crumb through without scorching the crust before the centre is done.
Oven-safe sage stoneware, high-fired in oxidation, matched to the bakeware range. It works cold as well as hot: a terrine sets in it in the fridge, then comes to the table in the same dish.
A bread loaf can grip the sides as it bakes, more so than in a non-stick tin. Line it or grease it well, or give it a few minutes to settle before you turn it out.
